A single connectivity framework is required to enable device-to-device communications and the Internet of Things across multiple vertical markets. As of now, no existing industry effort is able to address this need Samsung is leading formation of thenew IoT open source project. We are aiming a single organisation that encompasses both standards development and open source code implementation spanning multiple OSs and platforms and initial open source code available within this year.

Dr. Soohong Daniel Park is a senior member of research staff in open source office, Samsung and currently leading Internet of Things open source project collaborated with various partners. He has been working on IPv6 over Low Power Sensor Networks in IETF and advanced research topics around IoT. Also, he is currently working in W3C as Advisor Board.
