OSCON 2014 Hardware Showcase Call for Participation

Call closed 11:59pm 07/11/2014 PDT.

The OSCON Hardware Showcase makes its debut at the 2014 edition of OSCON. It’s your chance to show off your device that uses open source in front of an audience of alpha users, industry analysts, and investors. Projects can range from prototypes still in the garage to smartphones and server products—and everything in between.

Our team of investors and industry experts will select a dozen leading devices from all the submissions we receive. These 12 presenters will have a chance to present their technologies and tell their stories live at the Hardware Showcase on Tuesday, July 22 and Wednesday, July 23 in the OSCON Expo Hall.

Here’s the process:

  • To get started, complete our Hardware Showcase application before midnight on July 11, 2014. We’ll select and notify the twelve finalists by July 17, 2014.
  • If you’re chosen, you’ll receive up to two passes to OSCON for members of your company directly involved in the event.
  • You’ll have a space in the Hardware Showcase area of the Expo Hall to explain and show off your product/project to the thousands of developers, designers, executives, founders, investors, and researchers who attend OSCON.
  • Please note that in order to be a finalist, you need to be in Portland, Oregon on July 22-23 and be willing to demo your product or project for the duration of the Expo Hall on those two days. There is no fee to apply.
