MySQL 5.6 is the best MySQL release ever, with improvements that enhance every functional area of the database kernel, specially in the InnoDB storage engine.
This session will highlight some of the key features in 5.6 release, including: better performance and scalability, better application availability with online DDL, better query plans with persistent optimizer statistics, better developer agility with NoSQL access with Memcached API, and many more.
At this session, we will also discuss the MySQL at Twitter; how could Twitter benefit from these new features; what’s still missing from Twitter’s perspective.
