There has been a strong connection between the terms “web” and “online” for years. The rise of HTML5 and the support of offline mode in most modern browsers changed the play of the game. Since 15% of all mobile apps are launched when the device is offline, it is quite likely you need to find a solution for the “offline problem”(tm). Luckly HTML5 supports client-side storage for data and static assets which allows you to run your mobile web application in an offline manner. This session will introduce the different ways of storing data on the client as well as pointing out the limitation of each of the different techniques.
