Jonathan Briggs
Director of Technology, Eastside Preparatory School

Jonathan Briggs was initially diverted into education by the dotcom bubble burst of 2001. He has since taught more than a dozen different courses and became Eastside Prep’s first Director of Technology in 2005. At Eastside Prep we run on a mix of proprietary and open source software supporting a 5th -12th grade 1:1 computing program with a focus on preparing students for what the future may look like. As one example, we provide each of our Upper School students with their own wordpress blog and help them manage their digital identities. Two years ago, Jonathan organized TEDxEastsidePrep completing our second event May 18th, 2012. Last years event has had over 30,000 views of our six talks.
