Grant’s mission is to produce solutions that enable success and deliver value to his clients. His experience includes insurance, logistics, banking, and manufacturing; and he is excited to learn new domains. He can take on roles ranging from developer and tester to application and technical architect. Typically his responsibilities include all aspects of the software development process from analysis and requirements collection to system design, implementation, testing, and deployment. Whether green or brown-field based; he successfully delivers solutions. His positive attitude, creative approach to problem solving, and strong work ethic help him to get the job done well.
Currently Grant is doing custom software development for a local financial services firm. Before that Grant was designing and implementing systems for a local insurance company, performing system integration for Wells Fargo, making sure that parcels got the correct routing information at FedEx, and helping a local service company to keep track of inspections using hand-held computers.
You could say that Grant is an “eternal student of life”. He believes that “wisdom begins in wonder”, which motivates him to always keep learning. He holds a B.S in Math, Statistics, and Computer Science and a M.S. in Computing from Marquette University.
When he is not working, he loves to speak at local conferences, write thought-intriguing posts for his web log, study programming languages, play guitar, walk, read, and most important of all, spend time with his family.
