Utkarsh Ayachit

Mr. Ayachit is a Technical Lead at Kitware, Inc. leading the ParaView and ParaViewWeb development effort. He is one of the primary developers for ParaView – an open-source, multi-platform data analysis and visualization application for to analyzing extremely large datasets using distributed memory computing resources. More recently, Mr. Ayachit has been working on developing production solutions for addressing high performance visualization needs incorporating techniques such as streaming, in-situ processing and live data visualization.

Mr. Ayachit obtained his B.S. in Computer Science from the Pune Institute of Computer Technology (India) in 2002. He earned his M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County (UMBC) in 2004; his master’s thesis explored the use of level-of-detail in 2D flow visualization techniques namely streamline visualizations, vector plots and texture-based techniques.
