Pat Marion
R&D Engineer, Kitware, Inc.

Pat joined Kitware in 2007 as a contributor to the ParaView project. He received his B.S. in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in 2008 and moved to North Carolina to join Kitware’s Chapel Hill office as a Research and Development Engineer. His expertise encompasses the fields of scientific visualization; parallel computing with extensive experience developing software for the nations’ top supercomputers; 3D LiDAR processing, and cross-platform mobile development with OpenGL ES. Pat has been the lead application developer for several large commercial projects including orthopedic implant design, mobile applications, and point cloud processing for 3-D urban mapping.
