The two minute intro video with Tim O’Reilly, Al Gore and Bill Joy raised expectations of a great presentation… then it turned into a cheesy infomercial.

This was an advertisement. If it had been a technical demo instead, it might have really been interesting. Instead, it led to me hearing from literally dozens of people about how disappointing it was and how it was just a press event for a sponsor.

I found it uninteresting and overhyped. The subsequent details given explained nothing. It sounded like “some commodity server.” With no demo, I was left to assume it was what it sounded like.

”... enable global innovation.” And in the next sentence: ”... provide for middle America”.

I hope in future global means more than just the US.
