Attendee prerequisites for this tutorial are listed below.
We’ve all heard about HTML5 & CSS3, but do we know how to effectively apply all of the new properties and features to our websites? In this tutorial, practical application is the name of the game. We’ll cut through the theory and show you how to design and build functional websites using the newest HTML5 tags and CSS3 properties.
We’ll review all of the new tags and properties, cover browser compatibility, talk about real fonts, and check up on design best practices. Practically, using our case-study website built specifically for this tutorial, we’ll go through each of the major new features in HTML5 and CSS3, and provide real-world application exercises at the end of each lesson.
What we’ll cover:
If you’re a designer or a developer looking for real-world, functional tools to help you build better things on the web, this is the workshop for you.

Is there any way to get your Oscon 2011 presentation slides?
Thank you
It was good to see what HTML5 and CSS3 can do since I really haven’t done much with them yet but just taking an online course made it feel like it was more of a sales pitch than a real tutorial. Also having the site go down over and over wasn’t good.
