Sameera joined WSO2 in May 2008 and is a Technical Lead. He is currently working in WSO2 Stratos project. He is one of the initial developers of the OSGi based WSO2 Carbon platform.

He was a co-developer of the team which implemented Rampart2 which is a re-implementation of Apache Rampart. It is a high performance Web services Security module(Completely Axiom based and WS-Policy aware) for Apache Axis2. Sameera contributed to JAX-WS templates of Apache Axix2/Java Codegen tool for the Google Summer of Code program in 2007.

Sameera has a first class honors degree from the department of Computer Science & Engineering, University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka.

Sameera is a sports enthusiast and enjoys travelling and photography
