Ever wanted to get a bit more out of Memcached? Wondering how to set it up for redundancy or load check your server? This talk will go over all of the latest features to libmemcached. This will include information on how to setup replication, how to build a server with libmemcached-protocol, and how to pick the best hashing algorithm.
We will go over the latest features and review how you can leverage features to get the most out of your Memcached setup.
Brian has spent his life working on the details of how to build and scale out systems. He is currently working on a new MicroKernel designed MySQL called Drizzle and is building the plumbing required for a new generation of large scale computer deployment. He also spends time working on Apache Modules, Memcached, and Gearman.
Unlike most engineers you will never find him in a cubicle, he spends much of his time traveling around the planet enjoying the diversity that is our world. In the past, he has been involved with projects for the Army Engineer Corps, The VirtualHospital, Splunk, MySQL, and Slashdot. He calls Seattle his home since that is where his dog Rosalynd is.

@Michael… The slides are now available above.
Excellent presentation, one of the best I attended all week.
Do you think you might be able to post your slides? It’d be very helpful.
Thanks,
Michael
