Attending OSCON? Below are all the important onsite details about checking in and planning your time at the conference.
The Oregon Convention Center is located on the MAX light rail line with service to and from Portland International Airport. For a minimal fee, (currently $1.95) MAX will transport guests from the airport directly to the OCC's doorstep. Service runs every 15 minutes seven days a week between 4:30 am and 11:30 pm.
Located outside Exhibit Hall D, Level 1
Stop by OSCON Registration to pick up your badge, event guide, and other materials.
(until Tuesday, July 20 at 1:00pm, registration is open ONLY for tutorial attendees.)
Create your own OSCON agenda using the personal scheduler function on the OSCON website. Mark the sessions, workshops, keynotes, and events you want to attend by clicking the calendar icon next to each listing. Then click on the"Personal Schedule" link in the Schedule View page to generate your own customized schedule.
Printed versions of the daily schedule will also be available throughout the conference area.
The OSCON wireless network will be available throughout the conference areas of the convention center. We also have several hardwires available for you to use on the tables in the Connectivity Lounge located outside the E Rooms (near Registration). Keep in mind you are sharing this network with everyone else so please refrain from downloading large files or using bitTorrent while on the conference network.
Would you like to connect with other conference participants before, during and after the OSCON? Join the online Attendee Directory, which allows you to have a public profile, communicate with other attendees, and manage your contacts. You will need to make sure you are opted-in to the Attendee Directory in order to begin using it.
Once you start participating you'll be able to:
Rate the sessions, tutorials, and keynotes you attend by going to any session description page on oscon.com and clicking on the set of stars in the upper right hand corner. You can also leave comments at the bottom of the description page. Please keep in mind that your comments will be public. Only registered attendees may rate sessions, so if you aren't already logged in, you'll be asked to do so. Your username/email and password are the same ones you used to register for OSCON.
All the OSCON keynotes will be streamed live on oscon.com and then made available as videos after the conference ends. We'll also be posting speaker slides as they give them to us. Look for the links on oscon.com shortly after the conference begins.
