We're trying something new at OSCON this year and inviting those who can't make it in person to register to virtually attend select tutorials.
Upon registering for online tutorials, you'll receive an email with your confirmation code. Please retain your confirmation code. You may be asked for it in order to take part in the tutorial. We'll send you the URL to your online tutorial(s) in a separate message. We encourage you to join approximately ten minutes early so you don't miss any of the tutorial.
Register now for any or all of the 3-hour tutorials we're streaming live.
Please note that we will be streaming live, high resolution video and audio for this event which will call for a significant demand on your bandwidth. Running additional applications or lack of bandwidth on your network connection are likely to result in both the audio and video stream becoming choppy or stopping altogether. Please close any unnecessary applications and if possible connect to a hard-wired Internet connection. Plan to use headphones or earbuds for an optimal audio experience. If you have any question about the bandwidth requirements, please send email to conf-online@oreilly.com before participating in the event.
If your audio or video does become choppy during the event, please refresh your screen or leave the meeting and return. This will usually solve the problem. If you've experienced audio problems during our online events before, then you may want to download and install the Adobe Connect Add-In (we apologize—this is not available for Linux).
If you have never attended a Connect Pro meeting before, you can test your connection
Connect Pro is Flash-based and does not require a download or media player.

For those who can’t attend live, either virtually or in-person at OSCON, the four recorded tutorials (along with lots of other great selections from our other conferences! :) ) will be available for purchase here: oreilly.com/videos
I can’t attend physically either, but would be interested in paying for some of the tutorial session videos, if they can be made available soon after. Thank you.
Alisdair, yes, people who pay for tutorial days will have access to recordings from the corresponding days. We will be notifying attendees when these are available.
Will physical, rather than virtual, attendees have access to the tutorial videos afterwards (for download) for free? Or do we not have access? Being a WWDC alumni I’ve always found the conference videos very valuable, even fo sessions I actually attended in person.
Yes, we will have recordings of these available afterwards for people who can’t make the live events or who are interrupted or called away during the live events.
Chad, great question. Please stay tuned while I try to find out.
Will videos be recorded and available later? I cannot attend live due to schedule constraints but I would consider paying for the videos to watch on my own time. Thanks.
