Brian Bruns is a longtime Open Source Software developer. He is the original developer of the FreeTDS and MDB Tools projects as well as a contributor to numerous other projects.
Most recently, he is the primary developer of DB Relay, an open source project built around the NGiNX web server platform that provides a HTTP/JSON interface to a variety of database servers. It enables database access without drivers and web application development without middleware. The DB Relay system is designed for operational efficiency and ease of maintenance. DB Relay is hosted at www.dbrelay.com and will be presented to the public for the first time at OSCON 2010.
Brian has worked for many years as a DBA and software developer in the fields of banking, engineering, and health care.
