David has a Bachelors of Computer Engineering from Auburn University He has been Senior Systems Engineer, Director of Server Operations, and Chief Engineer with Turner Broadcasting System, Inc. since March, 1999. Other Development and Unix Admin jobs held at various posts, including Digital Equipment Corp. and Nextel prior to that. He attended The O’Reilly Perl 2.0 conference back in 1998 and a couple of the Open source conventions between then and now. He is “DCS” on PAUSE, but company policy has not permitted much open source release. Hopefully that will change soon. He’s looking forward to getting caught up with goings on in the OSS community. Apparently Perl is not as cool now as it was ten years ago…although he still finds it useful from time to time.
