A Linux user since 1997, a Red Hat employee since 2001, and an active contributor to Fedora since its inception. My day job is at Red Hat, as the Fedora Engineering Manager.

Before that, I was a Sales Engineer at Red Hat (5 years), so I know a thing or two about how to make money from FOSS (and how not to). ;)

• Lead of the Fedora Legal team, and key maintainer of the Fedora Licensing list
• Chair of Fedora Packaging Committee and original author of the Fedora Packaging Guidelines
• Holder of the Sacred Chalice of Rixx, Heir to the Holy Rings of Betazed
• Fedora Ambassador
• Member of Perl SIG, Fonts SIG, Games SIG
• Co-lead of Fedora SPARC (formerly Aurora SPARC Linux)
• Maintainer of Chromium packages for Fedora (which can’t go into Fedora, ask me why!)

In what little time remains, I enjoy Science Fiction (books and media), Origami, Gaming (tabletop and video), Frogs, Pinball, Geocaching, and Hockey.

I live 45 minutes outside of Boston, with my lovely wife Pam, my adorable 5 month old son James, two cats and a firebelly toad.

I’ve presented at Ohio Linuxfest, Atlanta LinuxFest, FOSDEM, FOSS.IN, LinuxTag, and in front of too many LUGs to keep track of.
