A British Columbia Citizen, entrepreneur, software developer and open data advocate specifically interested in letting governments know that we want them to release our data. Herb is currently working on a several exciting but practically unknown open source software projects.
On his blog site, Herb discusses the dynamics of the software business and becoming an internet mogul and how open source provides an innovation platform that delights developers while disrupting the love affair between corporate silos and monolithic software corporations.
He has experience at both large and small organizations; and has been involved in hacking at technology to suit his own personal needs since the age of 7. He is a member of the FSF and the BC Free and Open Source Society.
