In this talk, Chris DiBona will bring the audience up to date on recent Google activities in open source. We will specifically cover advances in Android’s open source deployment infrastructure, including the Gerrit and Repo tools, and the directions those tools are taking. This talk will also feature a brief update from Leslie Hawthorn on the 2009 edition of the Summer of Code, and an in depth discussion expanding on the licenses and projects spoken about during the plenary.
Chris DiBona is the Open Source Programs Manager for Mountain View, Ca based Google, Inc. His job includes managing open source related compliance and outreach programs for the company. More information about Google’s open source program can be found at http://code.google.com/opensource
