XDebug is an open-source extension for PHP that contains debugging and profiling tools. It provides an excellent toolkit for any developer to identify and resolve bugs, bottlenecks, and hard-to-track problems.

Brandon Savage is an experienced developer with nearly five years of PHP and MySQL development expertise. With a portfolio ranging from The Pickens Plan to Greenpeace, Brandon is experienced with high volume, high performance websites, performance tuning, and a variety of tricks and techniques for dealing with large databases and high user counts. The overview was really short. I would have liked to seen some more in depth examples, especially with profiling. This looks like a really useful tool.
