Enterprise flash should mean higher performance and easier scaling for web datacenters. However, questions remain about flash’s reliability, and exploiting its advantages will require new approaches to web application design.

Noted database performance expert Peter Zaitsev will moderate this informative session where participants can discuss the opportunities and challenges for leveraging flash for memory, as a cache, and as storage for traditional and new architectures in Web, cloud, and enterprise datacenter deployments.

Darpan Dinker, VP of Database Technologies at Schooner Information Technology, will be on hand to discuss his experiences developing flash-based data access appliances and how one company has addressed questions about flash’s performance, reliability, and longevity.
