SOA security needs to be by design, not as an afterthought. This session will demonstrate implementing Message Interceptor Gateway security pattern with WSO2 ESB, WSO2 WSAS and WSO2 Identity Server – together with the OpenID/Information Cards integration pattern at the front end. The Message Interceptor Gateway pattern provides a single entry point and allows centralization of security enforcement for incoming and outgoing messages. Further, this session explores adding authentication and fine grained authorization for web services. If you’ve been looking for an open source alternative to Microsoft Geneva, this session is for you.

Prabath is currently working as a Software Architect and a Senior Manager at WSO2 and an Apache Axis2 PMC member, with more than 7 years experience in the industry. Prior to joining WSO2 he worked at Virtusa (NASDAQ: VRTU) for 3+ years. Prabath has spoken in numerous conferences including OSCON, ApacheCon, Apache Asia Roadshow, European Identity Conference and WSO2Con. He also participated in developing OASIS Identity Metasystem Interoperability Version 1.0 specification representing WSO2.

Prabath holds a B.Sc in Civil Engineering and an M.Sc in Computer Science from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka.
