Open Source goes to the Museum

Moderated by: Rob Stephenson
Location: Meeting Room B3

The Tech Museum (across the street) is running prize competitions for designing future museum exhibits. Right now we are seeking ideas for exhibits on:

  • basic laws of physics
  • tools to improve collaboration and “collective intelligence”
  • semiconductor chips and chipmaking
  • the role of tech in art, film, music and games
  • health and biotech (soon)
  • energy (soon)

Winners will receive cash prizes and see their ideas built for galleries at The Tech, and possibly other science and technology museums around the world. Come to this BOF to learn how it works, and/or stop by The Tech Museum booth in the expo hall and visit our open source project Website .
