Women in FLOSS and Allies Gathering
Possible topics for discussion:
- Experiences working on various FLOSS projects and in industry
- Projects that are doing well at encouraging and supporting women—what are they doing and what can we learn?
- Tools and resources for women and allies
- Brainstorming specific improvements: eg. childcare at tech events, dealing with disruptive/offensive/toxic individuals, improving speaker ratios, tshirts that fit
- Share recommended reading (books, blogs, FAQs, etc)
- What’s it like to be an ally of women in FLOSS? What can allies do to help?
- Dealing with burnout
This BOF will start out in our assigned room, and will be followed by an informal group dinner.
