Wireless connectivity to the Internet will be available throughout the conference areas of The Fairmont. Internet access in your hotel room is available through the hotel for an additional fee.
Please take note that each user on the network is responsible for his or her own security. As this is an open network, you are advised to disable any open ports or shares you do not want exposed. For privacy, we recommend that you use a secure tunnel through a trusted server when accessing network services, such as email or web sites.
Half the value of attending OSCON is getting as much out of networking in the lobby as you do from the learning in the sessions. Join the OSCON Attendee Directory (log on may be required), where attendees can meet and connect.
If you are posting blogs and/or photos while you're at OSCON, tag 'em with "oscon.". If you are tweeting, don't forget the hashtag.
Make sure to rate each session or tutorial you attend! Your feedback will really help us plan future events. Go to any session detail page by clicking on the session's title from the OSCON schedule and rate it using the stars in the upper right hand corner.
Scroll to the bottom of the detail page to leave a public comment about the session and/or speaker, or post a question in advance. Note: you must be logged in to your O'Reilly Conference account to rate and comment on sessions at OSCON.
Help us improve next year's event! We'll be sending you an email with a link to an online evaluation form towards the end of the convention. Fill it out with your comments and suggestions and you'll be entered into a drawing to win a free pass to OSCON 2010.
Drop by the Connectivity Lounge if you need a place to recharge your battery and connect with the Internet, located in the Almaden Concourse by the entrance of the Hilton Hotel.
On Friday, we'll have a monitored "honor system" space for you to leave your bags near the Registration Area, on concourse 1. Please note that you must pick it up by 2:00 p.m.
