Nathan Yergler joined Creative Commons as a software engineer in July 2004. Yergler joined Creative Commons after pioneering the use of Python in the high school programming curriculum at Canterbury School, Fort Wayne, IN. Yergler resides in San Francisco and holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Purdue University (Fort Wayne).

liblicense provides a small, lightweight library for implementing the Creative Commons Rights Expression Language (ccREL) in applications. This talk will provide an overview of ccREL, liblicense, and how it is being used to integrate with Ubuntu applications. Embedded license metadata support for applications such as Eye of Gnome and Rhythmbox will be demonstrated, with source code. Read more.
