So you’ve got Subversion set up and now you’re wondering how to layout your repository for the many projects you have that share libraries and are portable to various platforms. I’ve got my ideas and I hope others have even more. We’ll talk about the subversion repo layouts, benefits of one repo vs. many, storing metadata in the repo, using externals, what belongs in the repo, using the large repo with subversion beginners, possible improvements to subversion for complex layouts, and other issues in diverse repositories.
