Jay Pipes and other MySQLers will go over setting up an ideal development environment for building, testing, and contributing to MySQL, along with a rundown of the important subsystems and where to find the relevant source code for each.

Anyone who comes to this BoF can walk away with a fully functioning build environment and an understanding of how the main systems work so that they, too, can begin to experiment on the MySQL server source code and become an active member of the MySQL contributor community.
