There are any number of libraries and utilities that Berstein will introduce and demonstrate. Here are a few (all are in PyPI):
zc.testbrowser: library for creating functional tests (AKA integration tests) of web applications.
zope.sequencesort: multikey sorting of objects using sort order defined by a sequence of tuples (key, func, direction).
z3c.gibberish: Generate pseudo-random CSV files with words from a dictionary
zope.deprecation: implements a deprecation mechanism useful when evolving a codebase across multiple releases.
Michael Bernstein has been a member of the Zope developer community since 1999, co-authored the ‘Zope Bible’ published by Hungry Minds in 2001, and is currently an independent contractor based in Las Vegas. He’s been known to dabble in logo and identity design, and is currently working on a startup code-named ‘Rogue Mountain’.
